Attendees will have opportunities to learn from keynote presentations, plenary sessions, workshops, courses, and scientific symposia while connecting with peers across academia, industry, and regulatory organizations.

Datavant Presentations and Posters

Pre-Conference Skills Course

Session: Pre-Conference Skills Course

Date and time: Sunday, August 30, 2026 | 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. CEST

Location: To be determined

Datavant presenter: Liz Garry

This beginner-to-intermediate course will introduce practical approaches to planning, conducting, interpreting, and communicating sensitivity analyses in pharmacoepidemiology studies using healthcare databases. Through an interactive case study, participants will examine sensitivity analyses related to study design choices, confounding, quantitative bias analysis, and the interpretation of results.

Poster B-219: Validity of Structured EHR Relative to Unstructured Physician Notes for Assessing Primary Biliary Cholangitis Progression

Session: Poster Session B

Date and time: Tuesday, September 1, 2026 | 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. CEST

Location: Exhibit Hall

Datavant presenter: Vera Frajzyngier

This study evaluates how well structured EHR variables capture primary biliary cholangitis histories and outcomes compared with information abstracted from physician notes and the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network database. The findings highlight the importance of validating structured data definitions and combining multiple data elements to improve variable measurement.

Defining Norovirus Acute Gastroenteritis in Administrative Claims Data: Methodological Challenges and Implications for Real-World Evidence Studies

Session: Poster Session B

Date and time: Tuesday, September 1, 2026 | 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. CEST

Location: Exhibit Hall

Datavant presenter: Coralie Lecomte

This Moderna-sponsored study examines methodological approaches to identifying norovirus acute gastroenteritis in administrative claims data, where limited diagnostic testing can lead to undercounting and misclassification. It assesses how alternative definitions affect observed patient characteristics, disease severity, and episode duration to inform fit-for-purpose cohort construction in real-world evidence studies.
