Datavant and Veritas Data Research partner to bring best-in-class mortality data to the Datavant Ecosystem

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 27, 2023 – Veritas Data Research (“Veritas”), a pioneer in creating best-in-class mortality and other reference data solutions, and Datavant, the leader in helping organizations securely connect health data, announced today that they have entered into a partnership to bring Veritas mortality data to the Datavant Ecosystem. This partnership enables Datavant customers to connect to Veritas’ tokenized, match-ready mortality data, powering better analytics and research and ultimately improving patient outcomes.

Mortality data is a critical input for clinical and commercial research that can reduce costs and improve the quality and outcomes of patient care. But because patient data is usually gathered as part of an interaction with a site of care, mortality data is often missing from Electronic Health Records (EHRs), medical claims, and other common data sources. This gap poses a challenge for organizations needing to access high-quality mortality data and link it to other sources of data for improved research and analytics.
